Trace Studios has been nominated for three SAFTA awards

The 16th annual SAFTA (South African FIlm and Television Awards) nominations have been released for 2022, and Trace Studios is proud to be nominated for three awards. 

The SAFTA Awards honour, celebrate, and promote creativity, quality, and excellence within the South African film and television industry. All nominees are a reflection of the South African film and television market’s resilience amid a global pandemic.

We are delighted to share the group’s nominations for this year.

The iconic and popular reality franchise produced for eTV and Netflix, Ultimate Braai Master has been nominated for Best Competition Reality Show. Hectic on 3, SABC 3’s youth programme that gets broadcasted live from Trace Studios in Cape Town was also nominated for Best Children’s Programme.

Lastly, the scripted teen drama series Signal High has been nominated for Best Youth Programme.

Mzansi Magic and SABC 3 will simulcast the Saftas on 2 and 3 September 2022.
